Most of us, at least us with children, feel close to this. But was is desperation or greed that made Karen Matthews feel the need to drug and hide her daughter for the sake of making a few quid? I think we all know the answer to that.
Not only did she try to fake the death of Shannon, but we seem to have forgotten that Karen Matthews boyfriend, Craig Meehan, is a kiddie fiddler; so god knows what he might have done to those kids.
Today is the day that Matthews should be sentenced. Personally, I hope the woman rots in jail. She is an evil, greedy, pig who thought of nothing other than making a few quid out of her own daughter. Not to mention the fact that she tried to do it off the back of the Madeline McCann fund.
It's a shame people like her are allowed to breed. She should be sterilised and never allowed to have or care for children again.
I feel sorry for Shannon and the other children, their lives are now upside down. I just hope that the care system in the UK looks after them and that they are not abused further by the system that should protect them.
